I'm personally exited that, with these changes, Midem is acknowledging that digital has become an essential and integrated part of the entire music industry.

The fear, of course, is that we'll loose the intimacy of the smaller conference. But hopefully you can see from above that the Midem team is determined to not let that happen. And I'll also share without asking permission that other components that I've heard are in the planning stages have the same goal.

Summer is just starting, and yet I'm already looking forward to seeing all of you next year in Cannes.
